Information we collect

JourneyOS may collect account information such as your name, email address, authentication records, profile preferences, and information you choose to add to a trip.

Trip data

Trip names, dates, itineraries, reservations, packing lists, invitations, saved places, notes, and collaboration activity are stored so the people you invite can plan together.

Location usage

With device permission, JourneyOS may use approximate or precise location to support nearby discovery and location-aware features. Permission can be changed in device settings. We do not sell location data.

Photos

Photos you upload may be stored and shown to authorized trip members. Avoid uploading images you do not have permission to share.

AI requests

Questions sent to Ask Journey may include relevant trip context needed to answer. Requests may be processed by third-party AI providers and should not include sensitive personal information.

Analytics

We may collect limited diagnostics, performance data, and feature usage to improve reliability and understand the beta. We aim to minimize this data and avoid using it for targeted advertising.

Third-party services

JourneyOS relies on service providers for hosting, authentication, database storage, maps or places, AI features, notifications, and app distribution. Their processing is governed by their respective terms and privacy practices.

Data retention and deletion

We retain information while your account is active and as reasonably needed for security, legal, and operational purposes. You can request account and associated data deletion through the account portal or contact form. Shared trip content may remain visible to other members where appropriate.
